Clarinet and saxophone lessons are taught at the Chateau or Steve can travel to you a reasonable distance. Lessons are available at all levels from complete beginners up to Grade 8 and beyond for children and adults.
Steve first studied clarinet with Richard Percy (EPO, Hallé), then with John Reynolds (Kent Opera, RWCMD) in Hertfordshire and then with Michael Saxton (CBSO, BBC National Orchestra of Wales) at University College Cardiff.
Not all students are interested in taking exams (ABRSM), but Steve has an excellent record of results for those who choose to do so.
Steve can also offer advice and assistance on the purchase and restoration of instruments and undertake some repairs. Beginners should generally seek advice before purchasing an instrument.
